I have been in the medical field for the last 15 years. I have always had a desire to help people and felt I could never get enough hands on helping until I began my Therapeutic Massage Program at Baker College of Cadillac. I received my Certificate in Therapeutic Massage and an Associate degree in Applied Science. I took my National Exam through NCTMB and became I licensed Massage Therapist. I truly love what I do, helping people is the greatest gift.
I have worked in the spa setting at Crystal Spa as well as a chiropractic office in Traverse CIty. I decided the next step was to make my dream a reality by opening my own massage clinic incorporating the best of both settings for optimal healing. I take as many continuing education online as I can to keep up on all the current techniques,new research on benefits of massage, and many other things.
I have taught the massage program at Baker College of Cadillac for three years. I believe that I continue to learn each day I teach the new therapists. Baker College became COMTA accredited(which is the highest accrediation in massage) during my teaching. What a great accomplishment to be a part of the experience.In the fall 2016 I will begin teaching at Mind-Body Institute in Traverse City. I love to share my knowlege and passion about massage and to be a life long learner.
